Rename a project file
|
When you rename a file in the Project panel of Microsoft® Expression Blend, any
references to
that file throughout
the project will break, similar to how links can break in HTML. For example, if you
rename an image file in your project, and the image is used in several
documents in your project, the image will no longer appear in those
documents. Instead, you will see an error on the artboard that says "Could
not find file". You will have to make the name change
everywhere that the image is referenced in order to fix the error. |
Under
Files in the
Project panel, do one of the following:
- Right-click the item that you want to rename, click
Rename, and then type the new name.
- Click the name of the item you want to rename, single-click the name
again to make the name editable, and then type in the new name.

Do not change the file name extension (for example, ".xaml") of any file
in your project,
because changing file name extensions can lead to application errors. |
