The Change Resolution Dialog

This dialog is displayed in following cases:

• The image resolution is less than 200 dpi or more than 600 dpi.
• The image has different horizontal and vertical resolutions.

FineReader considers such resolutions to be incorrect. They may be due to the following reasons:

• Incorrect image options.
• You haven’t got the image from scanner but from some other device (for example, fax images have resolution 96х200 dpi).
• Some applications save image resolution incorrectly.

Depending on the image source, you may change the resolution or leave it unchanged. If it is the case that the image resolution is, however, correct, keep in unchanged, otherwise specify the most convenient image resolution in the range from 50 to 3200 dpi.

Keep in mind that the incorrect image resolution may cause the following:

• FineReader may be unable to analyze image layout.
• FineReader may detect the font size incorrectly.
