The Correct Image Resolution Dialog

Use this dialog to correct the image resolution if:

The image resolution is less than 200 dpi or more than 600 dpi.
The image has different horizontal and vertical resolutions.

Select image resolution

Select the type of the image:

scanned image,
faxed image,
screenshot;

In this case ABBYY FineReader will change the image resolution to one of the standard values: 300 dpi - for a scanned image, 200 dpi - for a faxed image and 96 dpi - for a screenshot.
You can also select Other resolution and type in the exact resolution of the image.

Apply correction to

Select one of the two options:

Selected images - if you only want to change the resolution of the selected images;
All images in the batch- if you want to correct the resolution of all the images in the batch.
Note: This option is recommended for images obtained from one and the same source.

Keep in mind that the incorrect image resolution may cause the following:

ABBYY FineReader may be unable to analyze image layout.
ABBYY FineReader may detect the font size incorrectly.
