Invert image | Some scanners invert images (turning black
color into white and vice versa) during scanning. You may want to apply the Invert Image option to make the document appearance standard, i.e. black font against a white background. |
Convert color and gray images to black-and-white | Use this option to reduce the disk space occupied by your batch; useful if there are no color pictures/color font/color background on your image or if you don't want to retain the color in the recognized text. |
Read group | |
One line of text per cell in table | Set this option if you only recognize tables with one line of text per each cell. The table layout will be analyzed more readily. |

Look for barcodes | Set this option if you want ABBYY FineReader to recognize
barcodes on your documents. ABBYY FineReader will create separate
barcode type blocks for them; the barcode will be displayed as a
series of letters and numbers in the recognized text. This option is not set by default. |
Read as plain text formatted with spaces | Set this option if you wish to save the recognition results as plain text. The recognized text will be formatted in one column and set in monospaced font of a same size. In the recognized text, left indents will be represented as spaces; every line will be made a separate paragraph and the original paragraphs will be separated by empty lines. Use this option if, say, you recognize code printouts. |
