Enabled Dictionaries

Important! Only enabled dictionaries are used for looking up words and phrases and for full-text searches.

Enabling dictionaries on the Bookshelf

Do one of the following:

• Click the icon of a disabled dictionary on the Bookshelf.
• Open the Languages and Dictionaries dialog box (Tools>Languages and Dictionaries…). In the Selected dictionaries column on the Dictionary Groups tab, select the checkboxes next to the names of the dictionaries you wish to enable.

To enable/disable all the dictionaries in a group, select the Enable All Dictionaries or Disable All Dictionaries command on the shortcut menu of the Bookshelf.

Disabling all dictionaries but one

If you need to find a translation in a specific dictionary, you can quickly disable all the dictionaries except the one that you need. To do this:

• Place the mouse pointer over the selected dictionary on the Bookshelf. On the shortcut menu, select the Enable Only This Dictionary command.
