The German-Russian Active Dictionary (© ООО Russkiy Yazyk Media, 2003 / by Z. M. Lubimov) will be helpful for schoolchildren, language students and those who learn German.
The dictionary contains 20 000 words, common word-combinations, some widespread set phrases that are necessary at the initial stage of learning. The basis of dictionary is the "Dictionary of Most Common German Words" by I. V. Rakhmanov (Moscow, Soviet Encyclopedia, 1967 г.) as well as two thousand generally used, stylistically neutral words that are very valuable in respect of their high compatibility and productivity. These words cover the most common everyday and social topics.
Each word is given in combination with almost all headwords of the dictionary, at the same time the compatibility of a word is limited by the word-list of the dictionary. The headwords are provided with necessary grammatical explanation.
The dictionary entries are written according to the new German spelling.
The dictionary is intended for schoolchildren, language students and those who learn German.
