Override business projections in the Tax
Estimator
You can
override Money's business projections in the Tax Estimator if, for
example, the account information on which Money bases its estimates
is not up to date or you expect your income or expenses to change
during the year. However, if you override Money's projections,
Money cannot use the information in your accounts to estimate your
taxes. If you carefully assign expense and income categories to the
Tax Line Manager and Schedule C, Money provides an accurate
estimate of your taxes by tracking your expenses and income in the
categories you've chosen.
- Go to the Tax Estimator page.
- In the left pane, click the type of tax information you want to
change (for example, Income or
Deductions).
- Click the box with the amount you want to change, and then type
the new amount.
Notes
- You can reset an estimate you've overridden by clicking your
entry, and then selecting the Use Money's amount
check box.
- To change the Schedule C worksheet, in the left pane, under
Common tasks, click Go to Schedule C
Worksheet.
- To review the transactions Money uses to estimate your taxes,
click the underlined heading. You can then make corrections if
needed. Note that if you override amounts in the Tax Estimator,
Money uses the amount you entered rather than the amount Money
calculates based on your transactions. If your projections change,
you need to change the amount. If you use Money's amount, Money
updates the projected amount as you add transactions to your
file.
