Because of changes in Microsoft Money Plus, you may notice that some information that appears in your Money file does not automatically appear in your online Portfolio Manager. This is due to changes in the product from previous versions.

In previous versions of Money, information regarding your investments was stored on the MSN servers. To help provide you with additional security, Money now stores only a minimal amount of information on the servers. This means that you can't access information about transactions in your Money file from the Portfolio Manager.

To have transactions show in the online Portfolio Manager, set up your Money file using MSN Money My Accounts for viewing with any Internet-connected computer (if you have not already done so). You then need to enter transactions manually in your Money file and the online Portfolio Manager. After entering information in both places, you can see the transactions in your Portfolio Manager.

1. Go to the Portfolio Manager.
2. Right-click the investment you want to view, and then click See Price History.

By default, Microsoft Money Plus Home & Business includes your investment and retirement accounts in your asset allocation plan. However, you can add more accounts to your plan.

When you buy an investment, be sure to select an account marked (Cash) in the Transfer from box.
