About automatic adjustments to living expenses
in the lifetime plan
Money automatically adds these living expense adjustments to
your lifetime plan:
- A 10% increase for the birth of each future child.
- A 10% decrease for each child who leaves home. (Money assumes
this happens at age 18.)
- A $10,000 increase for each adult dependent who joins your
family.
- A $10,000 decrease when an adult dependent reaches the life
expectancy you specified.
Money also adds a "no change" living expense adjustment to your
plan for you and your partner based on your retirement dates. That
way, you can edit it to fit your own situation. You can edit all
other automatic living expense adjustments as well.
