Create or edit a transaction with multiple categories

Note: To perform this advanced task, you must be using the Advanced Account Register. To find out which register you're using, look for the Essential Register or Advanced Register label in the upper-right corner of the account register.

  1. Click Banking, and then click Account List.
  2. Click the account containing the transaction you want to edit.
  3. Click the transaction you want to edit, and then click Edit.
  4. Click Split.
  5. To enter a category, click a line under Category, and then make your changes.
  6. Click Done, and then click Enter.
