Sign with OpenPGP

An electronic signature with OpenPGP ensures that any attempt to manipulate messages between you and the recipient is easily detected. For more information on OpenPGP consult the documentation of your PGP application.

 

 

Manually signing messages

 

Method No 1

 

1. Open a new message
2. Fill in the necessary header information
3. Go to Privacy->Enable OpenPGP (if not already enabled)
4. Then choose Privacy->Sign when Completed

 

Method No 2

 

1. Open a new message
2. Fill in the necessary header information
3. Go to Privacy->Enable OpenPGP (if not already enabled)
4. Then go to Privacy->OpenPGP
5. Choose your option:
· Sign Block - signs a highlighted text block
· Sign Entire Text - signs the whole message

 

You can also encrypt your message from this menu.

 

 

Automatically signing messages

 

1. Go to Account->Properties->Options
2. At the bottom (Message Editor Settings) check Enable OpenPGP and Sign when Completed

 

You can also choose encryption.
