Windows Media Player cannot perform the requested action. You
might encounter this error message for one of the following
reasons:
There is a problem with the computer hardware. For example, the
hard disk might be damaged, disconnected, or not formatted.
The file that you tried to play is being streamed from the same
computer on which Windows Media Services is installed. To play the
file, Windows Media Player must be installed on a different
computer than Windows Media Services.
