How To...Modify the Driver Interface

The CentreWare drivers for Windows NT, 2000, and XP allow you to choose the interface you want to use. As long as Internet Explorer 5.01 or above is installed on your workstation, the Enhanced driver view is available and is the default interface. The Enhanced view includes vivid graphics representing the different printer driver features. Many of these graphics change appearance as different feature selections are made. If you prefer a simplified look to your drivers or prefer accessing more options using a tree view, you can change the interface to the Standard view.

To modify the driver interface:

  1. Open the driver from the Printers folder. Right-click and select Properties.

  2. Choose the Device Settings Tab.

  3. Select the User Interface option and choose Standard UI or Enhanced UI.

  4. Click OK. The next time you open the driver, the new settings will be in effect.
