Lock or unlock an object
The column under the Lock all/Unlock all button indicates whether an object on the artboard is locked. When the lock button is visible in the row that corresponds to an object, then the object and all of its child elements are locked.
- To lock an object, click the lock button in the same row as the object.
- To unlock a locked object, click the dot button in the same row as the object.
To lock or unlock all elements in a scope, click Lock all/Unlock all at the top of the lock/unlock column. |
You cannot select or modify an object on the artboard when it is locked. Also, you cannot add keyframes to an animation timeline that modifies a locked object. |
