Turn clipping on or off for a container

When content is clipped in Microsoft® Expression Blend™, if child content of a containing element falls outside the layout container, that content will not be seen—in other words, it will be clipped. When clipping is turned on, you will only notice it working when a child element (such as a grid panel) of the layout container (such as a ScrollViewer) is larger than the layout container itself.

To turn clipping on for a container

  1. On the artboard or under Objects and Timeline in the Interaction panel, click a layout container, such as a canvas or grid panel, to select it.
  2. Under Appearance in the Properties panel, select the ClipToBounds check box. At run time, you should see that the content that falls outside the layout container is not visible.
