Only the system administrator may install ABBYY FineReader
8.0 Corporate Edition on a network
server. There are two stages to the installation. First, the
program is installed on the server. From the server, the program
can be installed on workstations using one of the following
methods:
using Active Directory
using Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS)
using Task Scheduler
via the command line
manually in interactive mode
To install ABBYY FineReader 8.0
Corporate Edition on the server:
Insert the ABBYY FineReader CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Run Adminsetup.exe from the ABBYY FineReader
CD-ROM.
The System Administrator’s Guide (which can be found in
the Administrator’s Guide folder on the server where ABBYY
FineReader is installed) provides additional information about
installing ABBYY FineReader on workstations, working with the
License Manager and working with the program in a local area
network.
