PDF (Portable Document
Format) is one of the most popular document formats on the Internet, in
electronic archives, etc. FineReader
can open, recognize, and save PDF documents either in one of the four save
modes (text and pictures only, page image only, text over the
page image, text under the page image)
or in any other supported format.
To specify a saving mode for PDF:
- Select the Formats Settings
item in the Tools menu.
- Select the required mode on
the PDF tab of the Formats Settings dialog.
PDF is often used for publishing
documents on the Internet or sending them by e-mail, where download speed is
crucial. PDF documents created by FineReader meet this requirement. The
structure of created PDF files will allow users to view the first pages
before the entire document has been downloaded.
