Search Options

In ABBYY Lingvo, you can carry out full-text searches of the following two types:

AND searches (i.e. looking for cards that contain all the words typed in the search field)
Additional options are available in this case: you can ask the program to match word order and distance between words.

OR searches (i.e. looking for cards that contain at least one of the words typed in the search field)

You can also select the Find all word forms option to find the occurrences of a word in all of its grammatical forms.

Setting up full-text search

Select the Options command from the Tools menu and click the Search tab.

Adjust the search options and click OK.

You can also adjust the search options in the Search dialog box when viewing the results

To adjust the search options in the Search dialog box:

Click .

On the Search tab that opens, adjust the search options and click OK.

A new search will be run with the new search options.
