Creating and updating user dictionaries

There is type of user dictionary in ABBYY Lingvo: dictionaries that are created and updated while working with the program.

To add a new word to a user dictionary or edit an existing card:

• Choose Create/Edit Card... from the Tools menu or click or press CTRL+NUM+. 

In the opening Create/Edit Card dialog, either add a new card to your user dictionary or edit an existing card. In the same dialog, you can create a new user dictionary by clicking on the Create… button. You will need to specify the new dictionary’s translation direction and provide some additional information about your new dictionary.

Note: Each card you create in your user dictionary will be used for both translation and full-text searches.

To delete a card:

• Select the required word in the Word List and choose Delete Card... from the Tools menu.
