Import or export from Money to Microsoft Outlook

If you are setting up a new Money file, you can save time by importing your contacts from Microsoft Outlook into Money so you don't have to enter them individually. If you have customers and vendors already set up in Money, you can export them to your Outlook Contacts so you have their contact information easily available while you work in Outlook.

Do one of the following:
- To import contacts from Outlook to Money, click File, click Import, and then click Import Outlook Contacts.
- To export your payees from Money to Outlook, click File, and then click Export Payees to Outlook.
Click OK.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

Why aren't some of the contacts or payees I wanted to import or export showing up?

After an import or export has been completed, you cannot undo it. To make changes after an import or export, you will need to delete the entries you do not want.
When payees are exported to Outlook, Money exports only those payees marked as customers or vendors. When you import contacts to Money, Money marks them as customers or vendors based on the information in your Outlook Contacts. After the import or export is finished, you may need to edit or delete some of the contacts or payees to ensure that your list is correct.

Money imports only business information from Outlook. If the business fields are empty in Outlook, they will be empty in Money, too.
