Creating PDF Documents From Windows Explorer


When creating PDF files from Windows Explorer, the program will use the options that you selected during the previous session with ABBYY PDF Transformer 2.0 launched from Windows Explorer.

  1. Open Windows Explorer and right-click the desired DOC, RTF, XLS, HTML, PPT, VSD, or TXT file. On the shortcut menu, select ABBYY PDF Transformer 2.0 and then select the desired action:
    • Create PDF File - Creates a PDF file and saves it in the output folder,
    • Create PDF File and E-mail it - Creates a PDF file and attaches it to an e-mail message.
    • Create PDF File with Custom Settingsā€¦ - Launches ABBYY PDF Transformer 2.0 so that you can select PDF file options. For more information, see Creating PDF Documents in ABBYY PDF Transformer.

    Note: When several files are selected in Windows Explorer, ABBYY PDF Transformer 2.0 is not available on the shortcut menu.

  2. Once you have launched the conversion process, a conversion window will open, displaying a progress bar.
