Templates General Concept

Top  Previous  Next

One of the most powerful and versatile features of The Bat! is Message Templates. Together with Macros they provide you easy access to consistency and automation through every aspect of your electronic correspondence.

You define templates on three levels:

† Individual (in the Address Book)
† Folder (the one selected when you start composing a message)
† Account (again the one you have selected when starting a message)

Whenever you create a message The Bat! looks for an appropriate template to fill in certain information, like the greeting line, signature etc. If The Bat! cannot find an individual template, it looks for a folder template, and in case this does not exist it uses the account one.
