The quality of data capture depends on the quality of the images
and the settings with which business cards are scanned. Follow the
following simple recommendations to get sharp legible images and
prevent capture errors.
Make sure that your scanner is properly connected and turn it
on.
Be sure to install the software supplied with your scanner and
required for its operation. See your scanner documentation for
detailed instructions on scanner set-up. Some scanner models must
be turned on before you power on the computer.
When scanning multiple business cards with a flatbed scanner,
follow these recommendations on positioning business cards on the
scanner.
Either use automatic brightness selection or adjust the
brightness manually following these recommendations on adjusting
the brightness.
Note: Scanning resolution directly affects the quality of
data capture. ABBYY Business Card Reader automatically sets the
scanning resolution to 600 dpi. If your scanner does not
support this resolution, the maximum value allowed by your scanner
is selected.
