Opening Business Card Images

With ABBYY Business Card Reader, you can capture contacts from photos or scans of business cards stored on your computer.

  1. On the main toolbar or on Quick Tasks panel, click the Open button.
  2. In the Open Image dialog box, select the desired image files in any of the supported image formats and click Open.

Once the image files are opened, the cards are automatically detected on the images and the data capture process starts. All the scanned cards from which contacts have been captured are displayed in the Cards pane.

Note: While the contacts are being captured, a progress bar is displayed, with a Stop button next to it. Clicking this button will stop the process.
