ABBYY Lingvo 10 Multilingual Dictionary includes all the
features of ABBYY Lingvo 10 English-Russian Dictionary.
To install ABBYY Lingvo 10 on your computer:
Insert the CD-ROM disk labelled Disk 1/2 into the CD-ROM
drive. The setup program will run automatically.
Follow the setup program instructions. When the setup program
prompts you, insert the Installation Floppy Disk in the
floppy drive.
Note:
You can only install ABBYY Lingvo 10
from the original media.
If the setup program does not run
automatically, install ABBYY Lingvo via the Control Panel by
double-clicking the Add/Remove Programs icon.
If you install the program without
using the Installation Floppy Disk (if, for example, your computer
has no 3.5" drive), you will be prompted to activate the program when you first
run ABBYY Lingvo.
Installation modes
Typical: All system components and dictionaries are
installed, except ABBYY Lingvo for Pocket PC and ABBYY Lingvo for
Palm™.
Custom: You can select the components and dictionaries
to be installed. You may also install/uninstall components later.
By default, all the dictionaries are selected. You can save
disk space by choosing not to install some of the dictionaries. You
can always install the required dictionaries later. Specify whether
you wish to install the sound files, to install ABBYY Lingvo on
your Pocket PC or Palm device, or to install ABBYY Lingvo Tutor.
Additional options (custom setup only)
In the Custom Setup dialog box, click Advanced and
select one of the two options:
Each user of this computer uses
his/her own bookshelf, or
All users of this computer use the
same bookshelf.
Note:
To be able to save personalized settings in Windows 98/Me, go to
Control Panel>Passwords>User Profile and enable "User
can customize their preferences and desktop settings. Windows
switches to your personal settings whenever you log in".
