ABBYY Lingvo allows you to search for words which occur in the text of dictionary entries and for words which you are not sure how to spell.
This chapter describes the following types of search:
- Full-text search
The full-text search feature allows you to find occurrences of the selected word or phrase in any part of a dictionary entry.- Wildcard search
Wildcard search employs special symbols which stand for one or more unknown characters. This search mode allows you to find words that you are not sure how to spell, words with particular endings, set expressions containing a specific word, etc.
