If you translate a word in a card correctly several times, the card will be marked as "learnt" and will no longer be displayed. Another card will be randomly selected and displayed. The Intro stage allows you to preview the cards which will be displayed during exercises.

Checking Memorized Words
This exercise introduces you the words that you will learn during the lesson.
If you have translated a word correctly several times, the word is marked as Learnt (the exact number of correct translations required to mark a word as learnt is set in Tools>Options>Training). Cards with learnt words are replaced with new ones and are no longer displayed during the lesson. Each time new cards are added to a lesson, the Intro exercise starts so that you can review the newly-added words.
The dialog box of this exercise is divided into two sections. The word itself is displayed in the top section of the dialog box, whereas its translation is displayed in the bottom section. To view the next card, tap Next >.
Note: You can translate words from language A into language B, from language B into language A, or in both directions. Select the desired option on the Training tab of the Tools>Options... dialog box. In the default mode, ABBYY Lingvo Tutor displays words to be translated both from language A to language B and from language B to language A.
