Transactions are downloading as reconciled
You may have
Microsoft Money set to automatically reconcile downloaded
transactions in the account register. If you don't want
transactions to download as reconciled, do the following:
Disable
automatic reconciling |
- Start Money.
- On the File menu, click Back
Up to back up your Money file to your hard disk.
- On the Tools menu, click
Settings.
In Microsoft Money 2004, on the Tools menu,
click Options.
- Click the Online Service settings link or the
Online Services tab, depending on the version of
Money that you are using.
- Click to select the following check boxes:
- Automatically mark accepted transactions as
reconciled
- Automatically accept all downloaded transactions from
banking statements
- Click OK, and then close Money.
- Start Money.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4.
- Click to clear the following check boxes:
- Automatically mark accepted transactions as
reconciled
- Automatically accept all downloaded transactions from
banking statements
- Click OK.
- To determine whether your transactions are still downloading as
reconciled, try downloading transactions again.
If transactions are still downloading as reconciled, follow the
steps in the next procedure.

Turn
off automated balancing |
- Start Money.
- Download your online bank statement, and then go to the
register for that account.
- At the top of the register on the View list,
select All Transactions.
- In the left pane, click Perform automated
balancing.
If you have not downloaded a statement that contains new
transactions to read, you will not see the Perform
automated balancing in the left pane.
- Click the Don't ask me this again and
Automatically balance my account without prompting when
possible check boxes to clear them, and then click
No.
