Change the deductibility of a business expense
As a sole proprietor, you report your business income and deductible business expenses on Schedule C. Designate your business categories as deductible or nondeductible, and Money will track your expenses and create Schedule C reports-making tax time easier and helping you take all the tax deductions for which you qualify.
  1. Click Taxes, click Tax Tools, and then click Tax Line Manager.
  2. In the left pane, under Common tasks, click Go to Schedule C setup.
  3. At the top of the list, click the arrow, and then click All Schedule C Lines or Non-Empty Schedule C Lines.
  4. Click the category you want to change.
  5. At the bottom of the screen, do one of the following:
    • To make the expense category deductible, click Include.
    • To make the expense category non-deductible, click Exclude.
