On the Play menu, point to Captionsand Subtitles, and then
click the appropriate language or other option.
A bullet appears next to the language or option that
is currently selected.
Notes
To turn off captions and subtitles, on the
Play menu, point to Captions and Subtitles, and then
click Off.
If the captions and subtitles feature is turned
on, captions and subtitles appear automatically when you play a
Windows Media file or DVD that contains caption or subtitle
information. Not all Windows Media files and DVDs contain caption
or subtitle information.
If available, subtitles appear on top of DVD
videos and captions appear below the video portion of Windows Media
Video files. Subtitles and captions cannot be displayed at the same
time. Player performance may degrade when displaying subtitles or
captions on computers with limited video memory.
If the Windows accessibility feature ShowSounds
is turned on, the Player captions and subtitles feature is turned
on by default.
