Saving the Recognized Text in RTF, DOC and Word XML Formats

Important! Saving in Word XML is only available for Microsoft Word 2003. 

Layout retention modes are set on the Formatting tab in the Options dialog (Tools>Options menu).

Note:  When you save the text in RTF, DOC and Word XML formats, the fonts used are those set on the Formatting tab in the Options dialog (Tools>Options menu) or those you set during text editing in the Text window.

Tips:

• If you prefer editing the recognized text in Microsoft Word rather than in the FineReader text window, you may still have uncertain characters highlighted. Select the With background color and/or the With text color items on the RTF/DOC/Word XML tab in the Highlight uncertain characters group. The saved file will have all the uncertain characters highlighted with the color you've set.
• When saving results in Word XML, the recognized image can be viewed in the Zoom window integrated into Microsoft Word. In this window you will see the magnified image of the current line or portion of the document. By default, the Open FineReader's Zoom window in Microsoft Word 2003 option is checked on the RTF/DOC/Word XML tab.
