Set up automatic account updates
You can set up
automatic account updates for an account you have already added to
Money, but only if your bank supports automatic updates in Money.
To set up automatic updates, you will need to have online sign-in
information for your bank.
- On the Tools menu, point to Internet
Updates, and then click Customize
Updates.
- On the Customize update schedule page, under
Automated Online Updates, select the Use
Automated Online Updates check box, and then click
OK.
- Click Banking.
- Under Common tasks, click Manage
online services.
- Next to an account, click Complete setup for online
services.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
When you enter your bank or brokerage sign-in information, you
must select the Remember this password
box.
Notes
- With accounts at some banks, you can set the frequency of
automatic updates.
- When adding a new account to Money, you can set up automatic
updates as you set up the account.
- If you are using a Money file password or a Windows Live ID to
help protect your Money file, you will also need to save your
password so that Money can download your account information even
if you don't have Money open. If you don't want to save your
password, you'll need to open your Money file each time you log on
to Windows so that your accounts can be updated online.
- Automatic online updates download account information for the
last Money file that was opened. If you have more than one Money
file that you want to update online, you'll need to open your other
files and update your
accounts.
