When someone sends you an e-mail and requests a Reading Confirmation,
The Bat! can send it
automatically for you.
You just set up a template with the contents you want that
confirmation to have. You can set Reading Confirmation at the
Account level or the
Folder level.
Both work the same, one on a folder basis - i.e. for specific
customers - the other account-wide. You instruct The Bat! in the Folder Properties,
which to use (see below).
Set up your Account-Level
Reading Confirmation:
1. |
Click the Account
name |
2. |
Select Account->Properties (or right-click
and select Properties) |
4. |
Edit the text in the top window using both text and Macros. |
5. |
Below the window, select an Action: |
·
|
Put in Outbox:
The Bat! puts a Reading
Confirmation in the Account's outbox and sends it at the next
send/receive session. |
·
|
Send immediately:
The Bat! sends the Reading
Confirmation immediately. |
·
|
Edit: Pops up a dialog
where you can edit the confirmation every time a sender requests
one. |
·
|
Ignore: Ignores any
Reading Confirmation
and does not send anything back in response to the request. |
6. |
Enable Prompt before the
Action to have The
Bat! ask you prior to sending any Reading Confirmation. You then
have the opportunity to select which of the 4 options above should
be used in real-time. |

the folder and select Properties) |
