Organizing your files

You can use Windows Media Player to organize digital media files on your computer or network and to organize links to digital media content on the Internet in the following ways:

• Add links to digital media files (including tracks ripped from CDs) on your computer, network, or Web sites.
• Create a playlist or auto playlist with the digital media files on your computer, network, or the Internet.

The links, playlists, and auto playlists are stored in the Library feature, which you can use to organize and display all of your digital media content. After you add links to the digital media files to your library, you can organize them into playlists, burn them to CDs, or synchronize them to portable devices.
