Primary Quick Tasks

Use the Common tab on the New Task window to access the most frequently used Quick Tasks in ABBYY FineReader.

Select document languages from the Document Language drop-down menu located in the upper section of the window.
Click the appropriate button for your task:

Scan to Microsoft Word lets you scan any paper document and convert it into a Microsoft Word document.

Scan to Microsoft Excel lets you scan any paper document and convert it into a Microsoft Excel table.

Scan to Searchable PDF Image lets you scan any paper document and convert it into a searchable Adobe PDF document.

Scan to Image lets you scan any paper document and save the images. When scanning is complete, the application will open the image saving dialog box.

Convert PDF/Image to Microsoft Word lets you convert PDF documents and image files into a Microsoft Word document.

Convert Photo to Microsoft Word lets you convert images from digital photos into a Microsoft Word document.

As a result, a new document with the recognized text will open in the application you have selected. When the Scan to Image task is completed, the image saving dialog box will open.

Important! When Quick Tasks are executed, the data are by default converted in line with the program's current settings. If you have changed the application settings, please re-run the task to retrieve the recognized text under the new settings.
