Compare several investments in a chart
You can use
charts to compare multiple investments or to compare an investment
to an index.
- At the top of the page, click Investing, and
then click Stocks or Funds.
- Type a company name or ticker symbol in the Name or
symbol box, and then click Get Quote.
If there are multiple possible matches, choose a stock or fund
from the Search Results list.
- In the left pane under Charts, click
Historical.
- In the Compare with box, type the name or
symbol for another investment, and then click
Add.
- At the top of the page, click Investing, and
then click Stocks or Funds.
- Type a company name or ticker symbol in the Name or
symbol box, and then click Get Quote.
If there is more than one possible match, choose a stock or fund
from the Search Results list.
- In the left pane under Charts, click
Historical.
- In the Compare with box, type the symbol for
the index, and then click Add.
To compare Deluxe Screener results
with investments in your Portfolio Manager accounts, you must be
signed in to Money with a Windows Live ID password.
- At the top of the page, click Investing, and
then click Stocks or Funds.
- Type a company name or ticker symbol in the Name or
symbol box, and then click Get Quote.
If Money finds multiple possible matches, choose a stock or fund
from the Search Results list.
- In the left pane under Charts, click
Historical.
- On the right-hand side of the chart, under Compare
with, click Find.
- Point to the account you want, and then click the investment
you want to add to your chart. To add all the investments in an
account, click Add All.
Notes
- You can compare investment prices or market indexes by using
percent differences or logarithms. On the chart's
Chart menu, click Display
Options, and then under Comparison Charts
Scale, click an option.
- To look up symbols for common and industry indexes, use the
Find list.
- When adding more than one stock or fund to the chart, include a
comma or a space between each symbol.
